PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Rhode Island Foundation recently awarded a $1,000 Spark Grant to a Portsmouth third-grade teacher.
Morgan Curtis, a third-grade teacher at Howard Hathaway Elementary School in Portsmouth, was awarded the $1,000 Spark Grant for her classroom project.
Spark Grants are “designed to help third grade classroom teachers engage students through unique experiences and creative learning methods, and stimulate student interest in relevant educational topics. Letitia and John Carter fund the grants.
