PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — More than 1,000 National Grid customers lost electrical power Sunday night on the island’s eastern side from School House Lane to Trinity Cemetery in Portsmouth.
Approximately 1,060 customers lost power at 9:01 p.m. Sunday, according to National Grid. Crews are in the progress of restoring power with an estimated return of service by 11:15 p.m.
The cause of the power outage is unknown at this time. Portsmouth Press will update this story once more information is received.
