PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Several Portsmouth residents attended the Women’s Rally in Providence, one of hundreds (maybe more) held throughout the world Saturday.
Hundreds of thousands (an early estimate, but those numbers could be higher) of men and women attended marches throughout the world Saturday in protest of the incoming U.S. presidential administration and to stand up for not only women’s rights, but human rights for all.
Portsmouth Press attended the Providence rally held outside the State House starting at 1 p.m.
Within minutes, Portsmouth Press ran into a few local residents. A well-known local resident also stood on the State House steps with a sign against tolls.
