PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Portsmouth Community Theater is thrilled to present “Read My Shorts,” an evening of short plays featuring the work of Melanie Greenhouse.
All performances will take place at the Common Fence Point Community Center, 933 Anthony Road.
Showtimes are Friday, June 16, at 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 17, 8 p.m.; and Sunday, June 18, at 2 p.m.
The plays will include:
- “GPS,” featuring Richard Schmidt, Tanya Kieron, Paul Fredette and Sharyn Singer. What happens on a dark road in Maine when you don’t listen to your GPS?
- “Sky Diver,” featuring Trish Culver, Matthew Johnson and Richard Schmidt. A young man’s first jump has some interesting problems.
- “Bald Eagle,” featuring Morgan Capodilupo, Matthew Johnson and Paul Fredette. Young newlyweds go on an eagle tour boat. What could go wrong?
- And, the debut of “Cats in the Early Morning Kitchen,” featuring Richard Schmidt and Denise Betz. We always suspected cats thought this way, now we know for sure.
The evening of theater is directed by Cindy Killavey.
Tickets are $10, with proceeds to benefit the Common Fence Point Community Center Building Fund.
