PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Portsmouth Public Education Foundation (PPEF) will host a Glow Run in May instead of the traditional Color Run held previous years. Find out more about this event here.
The Glow Run will be held on Saturday, May 12, at dusk at the Gardner Seveney Sports Complex, 715 East Main Road.
This family-friendly event will replace the Color Run of past years. Families can participate in this healthy, untimed “fun run” and raise funds for the public schools of Portsmouth.
Organizers will illuminate the course. Runners will glow as well.
All participants will receive a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt and glowing gear. At the finish line, participate in a celebration that will brighten up the evening.
Flat Waves Food Truck will attend, as well as Hawaiian Jim’s Shaved Ice and a DJ.
Bring your family, register your team, make this event a “glowing success.” Plan on bringing a picnic blanket or tailgate!
Pre-order your Flat Waves dinner online by clicking here. Participants that pre-purchase will receive a dinner ticket after the race (no need to bring a wallet). Flat Waves will also donate a portion of meal purchase back to PPEF.
Glow, run and have fun, all while supporting schools!
To avoid Eventbrite fees, participants can find a paper registration on the website, www portsmoutheducationfoundation.org.
Walk-in regiatration will be held at Clement’s Marketplace at a date and time to be announced. Race day registraion is available, but not preferred.
