PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The town of Portsmouth’s Recreation Department is now accepting applications for summer swimming and sailing lessons held at Sandy Point Beach.
A total of seven weekly sessions will be held at Sandy Point Beach from July 2 to Aug. 10. Each session includes two swim lessons.
Lessons are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in three different time frames: 9:30 to 10 a.m., 10 to 10:30, and 10:30 to 11 a.m.
Each swimming lesson costs $25. One session includes two, 30-minute swimming lessons.
Payment must be made at least a week before the lesson.

Lessons are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in two separate time frames: 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 to 4 p.m.
Children must bring the following items to the lesson: water bottle, bathing suit, sunscreen, life vest, towel, dry clothing, and sandals or flip-flops.
Each week costs $200, which includes a total of 12 hours of sailing each week (three hours each day).
