Police: Warren teen drives to police station in stolen vehicle

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Police arrested and charged two Warren teenagers with larceny after one teen drove to the Bristol Police Department in a stolen vehicle.

On July 1, officers received a report from an Emmanuel Drive resident about a stolen motor vehicle. Several days later, the vehicle was discovered abandoned in a wooded area at Fort Butts.

Detectives later discovered the vehicle traveled to New York State before being abandoned. Police also discovered the identities of two suspects at the time.

More than a week later on July 9, a resident of Islington Avenue reported that a motor vehicle was stolen from a driveway. According to police, the two stolen vehicles reports were related.

One the suspects, identified as Brandon Fultz, 19, of 26 Maple St., Warren, turned himself into the Bristol Police Department on unrelated charges on July 13. The next day, detectives from the Portsmouth Police interviewed Fultz.

Later that same morning, Bristol police contacted Portsmouth detectives about locating the second suspect, a 19-year-old Mason Jones of 726 Main St., Warren.

According to Portsmouth police, Mason showed up at the Bristol Police Department in the vehicle stolen from Islington Avenue.

Bristol police charged Mason with possession of the stolen vehicle. After detectives from the Portsmouth Police interviewed Jones, he was also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
