Most people knew him as Uncle Bill, Daddy, or Papa. Some of his favorite things to do included Prudence Island fishing, hunting and Island Bingo. He was very crafty, he could fix or create almost anything, including handmade bird houses, rigging up fishing poles, and working with the shells from the PI beach making penguins and even turkeys. He loved a good party, throwing many clambakes and garage parties for family, friends & islanders. His grandchildren adored him and loved learning the island ways. He enjoyed early morning rides with his brother, Ken, looking for deer or where the fish were jumping. He also loved spending quality time with his niece Lori, her family, and son Bobby with his house full of his grandchildren, loved ones and friends in the summers.
At William’s request funeral services will be private. Donations can be made to Operation Stand Down. This organization helps many veterans who need the help. A check can be made out to OSDRI and mailed to Lori Eaton, 1 Orms Street, Warwick RI 02889.
