Ceremonies, appointments & recycling top council agenda

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Ceremonies, appointments, and a recycling proposal will top the Portsmouth Town Council agenda on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

The council will meet on Tuesday due to the Veterans Day holiday. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Town Council chambers at Town Hall.


The meeting will begin with the swearing-in of Jennifer M. West, Town Clerk.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the town will hold a Veterans Ceremony, honoring Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom Era Veterans.

The council will discuss and possibly approve four appointments on Tuesday, including a vacancy on the Zoning Board.

Cynthia Bogart has been recommended as the appointment for the Zoning Board.




The Town Council will also hear a request to approve a Senior Project, in which two Monofilament Fishing Line Recycling Stations would be placed at the McCorrie Point and Weaver Cove boat ramps.
