Council to consider limiting public comment time

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Portsmouth Town Council will discuss and possibly vote on limiting public comment time at its next meeting on Monday, Feb. 11.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 2200 East Main Road.

The council will discuss limiting the public comment time period on town issues to 3 minutes per meeting agenda item. The same person may return to the podium to speak for another minimum of 2 minutes.

The council will also discuss requesting members of the public to provide more detail when submitting meeting agenda items.
