Deadline Approaches for Summer Employment Opportunities
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The town of Portsmouth is currently seeking applications for summer employment in the Finance Office and the Department of Public Works.
Applications must be received by the Human Resources Department no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 20.

Wage $15. 00 per hour
Work schedule is five (5) days per week (Monday through Friday), six to eight hours per day; Saturdays and Sundays may be required. Duties include, but are not limited to, filing, sorting, shredding, and other general office procedures. Must be organized and able to work independently. Works under the supervision of the Finance Director and Finance Deputy Director.
General Public Works Maintenance
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week. Pursuant to RI State Child Labor Laws, duties include, but are not limited to, grounds keeping, lawn maintenance, trash removal, painting and other general maintenance. Works under the direction of the Director of Public Works and the Deputy Director of Public Works.
