Your CFP Board had a great meeting last night with Eric Moffett, the prez of the RR. In answer to our first question about his desired outcome of our meeting, he said emphatically: “I want the community to be happy.” What a great place to start given what I thought might be a tough discussion. We conveyed to him how important this entrance is – it is "coming home" for so many of us. He totally understands and is in agreement on making modifications. He will meet with our Board to discuss what the entrance to our neighborhood needs to look like. We talked about “Returning To Red” and “Less is More” – and that is the likely outcome on the table. We definitely need to make sure that there are safety measures in place to ensure the bridge is hit less frequently (Eric says he has an insurance claim at least once a year).
Please, rest assured, we are working on this and care very much about this issue. To manage expectations – a change to the painting of the bridge (which will most definitely happen) – will take at least 45 days. I think we have a total win-win situation here and the positives hugely outweigh the negatives for our neighborhood. If you have any questions, I invite you to please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) for a more detailed account. CFP Love!
