PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The Aquidneck Land Trust’s Race for Open Space will take place this November. Here’s everything you need to know about the race.

5K Race for Open Space

The Glen (Linden Lane, Portsmouth)

Join us on for our annual 5K Run/Walk for Open Space on Saturday, November 2, 2019. This family-friendly event takes place on the beautiful Sakonnet Greenway Trail, the longest nature trail on the island. Gifts, prizes, refreshments, fresh autumn air…it’s the perfect New England day! This event supports ALT’s efforts to conserve land and drinking water on Aquidneck Island.

Racers are invited to bring a canned good donation for the MLK Center.

Event Details

  • Start/finish at The Glen (Linden Lane, Portsmouth — next to Newport Polo)
  • Check-in/Registration: 9:00–10:15 am | Race Start: 10:30 am
  • Stick around post-race for food & festivities

Entry Cost

Ages 19+: $30 | 18 & under: $20 | Family (limit four per household): $70

Military Discount

For active, reserve, retired, and dependents:
Ages 19+: $17.50 | 18 & under: $12.50 | Family (limit four per household): $35

Age Groups

Under 10 | 10-14 | 15-18 | 19-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70+
