PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — Three men prevented a juvenile from falling off Mt. Hope Bridge Sunday evening, according to Portsmouth police.

On Sunday, at 10 p.m., the Portsmouth Police received a report of a pedestrian walking from Portsmouth towards Bristol on the Mt. Hope Bridge.

Moments later, Officer James Thulier arrived on scene and observed three male parties holding onto a juvenile, who had climbed over the railing. He was now being prevented from falling from the bridge.

Officer Thulier reached over the railing and pulled the juvenile back onto the bridge as Officer JeanMarie Stewart arrived on the scene.
