As the 28th Annual Newport Symposium approaches, https://www.newportmansions.org/learn/newport-symposium we look forward to hearing preeminent experts like Eve Kahn, whose lecture, “Forever Seeing New Beauties: Mary Rogers Williams,” will address the life and work of one of America's most accomplished yet least-known Gilded Age female artists. A noted historian and journalist best known for her weekly Antiques column that ran in The New York Times from 2008 to 2016, Kahn is also a writer, scholar and exhibition adviser who specializes in art, architecture, design and preservation. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University and lectures regularly in New York, New England and elsewhere. Adding to her accolades, Kahn is also an accomplished author. Her most recent book, published in October of 2019, is about the life of Mary Rogers Williams.
