We are so excited to announce our new partnership with Finding Rover, a free service that uses facial recognition to reunite lost pets with their families. We are proud to be the first Finding Rover partner in Rhode Island!

Finding Rover is a FREE service that uses patented Facial Recognition technology to help reunite lost dogs and cats with their families! As a partner, the community can now see if their lost pet is in our care with just a few clicks.

Through our partnership, photos of all animals who come into the Potter League as strays will now be uploaded to Finding Rover’s database. And when a pet is reported to Finding Rover as lost, the picture that the pet parent uploads will be matched against all stray pets currently in our shelters, and the computer will display any pets whose face matches.

As part of this effort, every dog and cat that leaves our organization will already be pre-registered in the Finding Rover database. Additionally, the lost pet’s photo will be scanned against photos uploaded by people who have found pets and reported them to Finding Rover (a free service anyone can use), and it will be scanned against other partner shelters stray pets in Rhode Island and nationwide.

We highly encourage everyone who has a pet to visit FindingRover.com to register your pet. It’s easy, free and allows you to report them as missing instantly!
