PORTSMOUTH, R.I. \u2014 A Portsmouth woman was arrested twice over the July 4th weekend after she allegedly stabbed a man with a kitchen knife, reports WPRI.com.\n\nAccording to police reports, officers responded Saturday evening to a residence on Narragansett Boulevard for a report of a domestic disturbance. At the residence, officers spoke with a man, who appeared injured from an apparent stab wound.\n\nOfficers were able to locate a female suspect at the residence, who was uncooperative and refused to obey commands, according to police.\n\nErin M. Sullivan, 37, of 37 Cathy Circle, Portsmouth, was arrested around 7:36 p.m. Saturday and charged with domestic, felony assault, dangerous weapon or substance; resisting arrest; and vandalism or malicious injury to property.\n\nSullivan was transported to police headquarters on Saturday evening. The victim, a 37-year-old Portsmouth male, was transported to Newport Hospital for evaluation.\n\nThe next day, Sunday, July 5, police received a phone call about an alleged no-contact order violation. The female suspect fled the area before officers arrived.\n\nSullivan was later arrested a second time around 1:24 p.m. at her residence and charged with violating a non-contact order. She is being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions (ACI), reports WPRI.com.
